What’s your name and where do you live?
Terry Uchida – Salinas (Central Coast) California.
How old are you and what do you do?
I think I’m 59 but I keep forgetting. I’m adjusting to retirement but keep finding short term gigs that keep me busy, much to my husband’s disappointment. He would love for me to be home all the time but I just can’t do it.
3 words (or emojis) to describe yourself….
Creative, caring, chaotic 😜
What does moving mindfully mean to you?
Slowing down the hamster wheel in my brain and reminding myself that it’s okay to focus and do nothing outside myself for a few moments each day. It’s not about doing nothing, it’s about doing something for myself!
What’s your favourite food?
Steak and tacos hold an equal place in my heart 🥩🌮
What other ways do you enjoy moving?
I’m a walker, with a dedicated audiobook on my earphones.
What is your favourite part about being a MMM member?
Helen’s voice, the variety of class options, and being able to do a class any time that works. I am a knitter and found Helen with her knitter/crochet yoga class on YouTube and never looked back!
Any favourite quotes or words to live by?
Be the change you wish to see in yourself – Ghandi
Thank you so much Terry for sharing and the ‘hamster wheel’ analogy – Who else can relate to that? 🐹🎡
